The
Glasgow Mackintosh Festival
In
2006, Glasgow will be celebrating the work of
Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the world famous
architect and designer.
The
main events of the Mackintosh Festival will
occur during September 2006.
There
is a comprehensive program of exhibitions, activities
and workshops organised at many Mackintosh venues
throughout the City of Glasgow - promising a
chance for Mackintosh fans, old and new to delight
in the joys of the works of Rennie Mackintosh
and also of his devoted wife, Margaret.
Events
and exhibitions will be held at such venues
as the Glasgow School of Art, The Willow Tea
Rooms in Sauchiehall Street, the Lighthouse
(the former Glasgow Herald Building)
and at the Hunterian Art Gallery.
